Helping Christians Grow, Helping Grow Christians

Women's Fall Field Trip to the Art Museum!
Join us for this fun, fall field trip to the Philadelphia Art Museum to see the current exhibit, Rembrandt and the Face of Jesus. This exhibition reunites, for the first time since 1656, seven paintings of Jesus by Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn. Abandoning traditional sources, Rembrandt created these exceedingly rare portraits of Christ with the use of a human model--a step which was totally unprecedented at the time. In viewing them today, visitors are presented with a number of religious, historic, and artistic questions to ponder. Fill out the registration form below to reserve your spot on the trip!
Women of all ages are welcome! We will gather in the narthex at noon and travel via school bus leaving Hopewell by 12:15pm. The cost of this event is $30 per person and includes admission to the museum and a boxed lunch to enjoy on the ride there. Scholarships are available, contact Shauna Ridge at shauna@hopewellumc.org for more information. Register on-line or next weekend in the Family Life Center.

Yes, sign me up and reserve my space for the field trip!

United Methodist Women
Hopewell's United Methodist Women are involved in mission locally and globally. Our purpose is to develop a supportive fellowship and to participate in the global ministries of the church. We are part of the more than one million women who have chosen to be members of a special organization with a specific purpose - United Methodist Women! Membership is open to any woman who desires to belong and participate in the global mission of the church. The total UMW program is reflected through: spiritual growth; mission education; Christian social involvement; support for women, children and youth.  During the year we have special programs, such as the Mother/Daughter Banquet, A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial, Salad Supper, Calendar Dinner, and others. We pledge to missions such as Ingathering, Cornwall Manor, Church Women United, Christmas Giving Tree, and many other special projects.
