Mission Trips & Retreats
Mission Trips
Reaching out to the local and world-wide communities is an important part of Hopewell's identity, and it's no different in our Student Ministry. Every year, our students participate in local and out of state outreach events.
*Payments: Checks should be made out to Hopewell UMC unless otherwise noted*
Some of the trips we participate in include:
High School Urban Missions Weekend:
We have taken two trips to Philadelphia to do urban missions. We have joined up with Broad Street Ministries and worked in local missions for at-need Philadelphia residents.
Middle School Short Term Mission Trip:
Our annual middle school Short Term Mission Trip is a great opportunity to serve. Students and adults travel throughout the local Chester County community over 3 mission days, serving a different mission each day.
Middle School Pittsburgh Project:
The Pittsburgh Project impacts our students lives every year. This year will be no different! Students work on houses throughout the Pittsburgh community during the day, and then come back to the TPP campus for great games, small groups, teaching and unbelievable worship in the evening.
Long Term Mission Trip:
Last year we took a long trek down to Alabama to offer relief to those devastated by last year's deadly tornado season. This was another memorable Long Term Mission trip!! We changed the lives of those we worked for. Stay tuned for this year's plan!
Retreats
High School beach Retreat:
We all need to find time to get away. Our high school trip to Ocean Grove, NJ is just that. 4 days and 3 nights of sleeping in hotel rooms and catching sun on the beach is always a great way of spending your summer. Throughout the 4 days we also meet for some spiritually moving and encouraging worship and teaching.
Middle School Beach Retreat:
Henlopen. The name alone brings back memories that leave a smile on the face of many. Our annual summer retreat has been going on for more then two decades and this year will be no different. Students spend their days worshiping God through games, song, teaching, and catching sun on the beach.
