What's Happening?

 

September 12th is about new beginnings.  For some of you a new school, most of you new teachers, and for all of us a new year at Hopewell Youth!!  Let's start this new year off with some serious fun.  Be at the church on Sept. 12th at 1:15 PM for a trip to Laser Quest in Reading, PA.  Awaiting us there will be a two-level, 2,500 square foot, state-of-the-art laser tag arena.  We'll have pizza and snacks available at the arena.  The cost of this event is $25, but every youth that has at least one parent sign up and show up at the 6:45 PM meeting that night will get $5 off the cost (one discount per youth for a parent attending). Come out for some crazy-sick laser tag-ness!!!  Let's get this new year kicked off right!! The Confirmation Class for the 2010-2011 school year is forming now!  Confirmation is open to any youth who is in 7th grade or higher.  Classes meet every other Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Cornerstone Cafe beginning in October.  Information packets are available in the church office.  Please return all paperwork to Kristin (mailbox C2) by September 19th.

 

 

Sunday Night Small Group Adult Leaders will be meeting on Thursday, September 9th at 6:30 PM.  Small groups lists will be given out at this meeting.  Please contact Kristin at kristin@hopewellumc.org if you are unable to attend that evening.

 

Youth Ministries will be having our annual Fall Parent Meeting on Sunday, September 12th at 6:45 PM.  Come out and learn more about what Youth Ministries has planned for the upcoming year!  See the info above to learn more about getting a $5 discount to Laser Tag! 

 

The Confirmation Class will be traveling to Camp Gretna Glen for Confirmation Camp!  Cost is $80.  Return the permission slip and money to Kristin's mailbox C2 at church by September 26th.
