Mission Trips
We take our youth mission trips seriously at Hopewell UMC, but they're a LOT of fun too! Here's what we did in the summer of 2010! JUNIOR HIGH SHORT TERM TRIP - JUNE 22 - 25 The Short Term Mission Trip is held at Hopewell UMC and is available for youth entering grades 7 to 9 for the 2010-2011 school year. Youth sleep and eat here at the church. Youth are divided into several mission teams and work on missions in the local community and at Hopewell. The purpose of this trip is to experience a variety of ways to serve your local community and your church community.
SENIOR HIGH PITTSBURGH PROJECT - JUNE 27 - JULY 3 A youth group favorite - the Pittsburg Project trip is now available for Senior High! Youth entering grades 10 to 12 for the 2010-2011 school year are eligible for this trip. Youth will travel to the city of Pittsburgh to serve. Youth are divided into work teams and sent out to complete home repair projects for those in need in the city of Pittsburgh. Youth will also enjoy times of fun, fellowship, and worship with Christian Youth from other congregations. The Long Term Mission Trip is going to Maine! This unique experience allows you to spend a longer period of time at a work site. You will grow closer to God and your friends. This week you will have the opportunity to travel a little farther away and to focus on deepening your faith. It is a great week of fun and fellowship! We will be staying at The Mission Camp at Mechuwana.
