Helping Christians Grow, Helping Grow Christians

Summer Programs

Summer Camp
Every summer approximately 80 Hopewell kids attend a week long experience at Camp Innabah where they grow spiritually and share in tons of fun and fellowship.  Children come away from their experience excited because of the great time they had and changed as they have grown in their faith. Day camp and overnight experiences are offered. Scholarships are available.  Get a jump start on summer planning and visit the Conference website at www.epaumc.org/camping for information on this summer’s exciting camping experiences.  Both day camp and overnight experiences are offered.  All Hopewell campers are offered “Camp Cash” discounts when registering.  Full scholarships are also available. Contact Patty Wiehler in the church office for details.

Day Camp at Innabah
Hopewell UMC will sponsor Day Camp at Innabah for children 4-7 years old Monday, 6/21/10 – Friday, 6/25/10.  This experience included a fun-filled bus ride from Hopewell’s parking lot.  This is a great “first time” experience for young campers with many familiar faces as camp leaders.  Contact Patty Wiehler in the church office for details.

Vacation Bible School
Baobab Blast is coming to Hopewell July 12-16, 2010.  Set under the impressive baobab tree, kids will have the opportunity to hear the Word and be amazed at God’s wildlife creations.
Please remember to register early as space is limited.  If you have registration questions please contact Dara Roberts.
Not only children can experience Baobab Blast.  Volunteering is a rewarding experience for adults.  For more information on how to be a part of Baobab Blast please contact Cheri Miller.
Come be a part of God’s Great Get-Together.  It will be a BLAST!

Music and Drama Camp
All students entering 4th - 6th grade are invited to participate in our annual Music & Drama Camp.  This year, it begins on Sunday evening, August 1 and concludes Thursday evening, August 5 with a performance and reception.  This year's musical will be "The Tale of Three Trees."  For more information and to download a registration form, click here.

Would you like to serve in Children’s Ministries?  We are still looking for volunteers who would like to assist in Sunday School classrooms or provide time in any of our other ministries.  Please email Patty Wiehler if you are interested.
