Helping Christians Grow, Helping Grow Christians

Drama Ministry 2010

Hopewell's 1,000 seat outdoor amphitheater

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
On June 18, 19 and 20, the drama ministry at Hopewell will present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  This is a fun musical presentation of the story in Genesis of the faith, obedience, patience, and forgiveness of this hero of the Old Testament. Our thoughts are to make this production a truly unique version of the play, bringing a fresh approach to communicating God’s love through the production.  Performances begin at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2 pm on Sunday.  As has always been the tradition at Hopewell, the performances will be offered free of charge.   No tickets are required.  We are confident that our 900 seat amphitheater will provide ample seating.  In the event of inclement weather, we will move the performance indoors to our sanctuary.

Hopewell's Drama Ministry
After presenting “The Passion Play” each year since 1963, this production of “Joseph” marks a new direction in drama outreach for Hopewell. Continuing the traditions of “The Passion Play,” this show will be evangelistic in nature, will be offered free of charge, and will focus on retelling the rich story of the dreamer, Joseph, with a great fidelity to the Biblical story. The production is truly seeking to involve a broad community in making this story come to life!
