About the SaleSale Proceeds
A feature of all consignment sales is that the seller shares a percentage of the selling price with the organization that provides the retail outlet for the items. With our sale, the percentage is 70/30: Sellers keep 70% of the selling price of their items and 30% is given to Hopewell Christian Preschool.
Proceeds for the sale will go towards the Mary Barringer Scholarship Fund which enables three to four families each year to be given a partial scholarship in tuition.
In addition, monies have been used to buy playground equipment for both our Family Life Center and our outdoor playground.
What happens to the items that do not sell?
This can be a ministry in itself! Each seller is given the option of donating any of their items that were not sold. Local charities are on hand to take these items for their use. Examples of charities that have participated in the past are:

Hopewell's Fall/Winter Children's Everything Sale will be held on Sat., October 2, 2010 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The Spring Sale is tentatively slated for April 2, 2011. Don't forget to mark your calendar!
