The Hoop 2
THE HOOP 2
Another Shipping Container for South Africa
is being renovated at Hopewell !!!
The work has begun, and is well underway, on the shipping container at the far end of Hopewell’s parking lot! Over the summer the shipping container (known as the HOOP 2) will be renovated into rooms to be used for job training for the Mosaic parents who have adopted or are fostering orphaned and vulnerable children.
The first HOOP was renovated into a kitchen and a meeting room during the summer of 2016 at Hopewell. The container was filled with donations and shipped to South Africa, where it was added to the Mosaic Paarl Community Center. Today, it is used to cook food for 160 preschool-age children in the Ma’s for Wellington program, and the meeting room serves 100 children in the Mosaic afterschool program.
