New! A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting WorldThursdays, beginning April 11, at 9:30 a.m.
Adult Ministry Lounge
Sometimes it's hard to pray! It’s hard enough for many of us to make an honest request to a friend we trust, but when the request gets labeled “praying” and the friend is “God,” things get confusing. We begin to ask ourselves, Is it really doing any good? What should I ask for? How does God place Himself in our hearts? How do I cultivate a listening heart?
In his book, “A Praying Life – Connecting with God in a Distracting World,” author Paul Miller teaches us to pray where we live – in the messiness of our lives filled with deadlines, families, jobs, ministries, and other people’s constant needs and demands. Come and join us for this new study on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Adult Ministry Lounge. We will begin on April 11. All are welcome – bring a friend! This class will be led by Linda Chapman. Contact her for more information at threechapmans@comcast.net or 484-653-8806. Please register me for this class!
Tuesday Morning MomsTuesdays at 9:15 a.m.

The class meets Tuesday mornings from 9:15-11:15am in the Adult Ministry Center. For more information contact Cheri Miller at cheri@hopewellumc.org, or 610-269-1545.
United Methodist WomenHopewell's United Methodist Women are involved in mission locally and globally. Our purpose is to develop a supportive fellowship and to participate in the global ministries of the church. We are part of the more than one million women who have chosen to be members of a special organization with a specific purpose - United Methodist Women! Membership is open to any woman who desires to belong and participate in the global mission of the church. The total UMW program is reflected through: spiritual growth; mission education; Christian social involvement; support for women, children and youth. During the year we have special programs, such as the Mother/Daughter Banquet, A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial, Salad Supper, Calendar Dinner, and others. We pledge to missions such as Ingathering, Cornwall Manor, Church Women United, Christmas Giving Tree, and many other special projects.
